They believe themselves to be the rightful Reclaimers instead of Humanity. The Created are a faction of rogue artificial intelligences founded by Cortana and the Warden Eternal. The Banished are made up of a number of alien races, such as Brutes, Elites, Hunters, Grunts, Jackals, Hunters and others. Led by Atriox but the Banished contingent on Zeta Halo are under the command of a Brute War Chief called Escharum. The Banished are a mercenary faction that broke away from the Covenant Empire. Before the events of Halo Infinite, the UNSC forces already present on Zeta Halo were defeated by the Banished who arrived on the ring.
